Broad Bean update

Blackfly in evidence but hopefully not too damaging. I haven't harvested any beans yet.

More spuds planted

I dug up the remaining spuds from the bed near the Wisteria...

Then planted some Charlotte potatoes that I bought from the supermarket back in May...

I planted 4 rows of 4 spuds (first row shown below)...

Hope it's not too late for planting - due to the cold spring the first spuds went in later than usual.

Geraniums cut back

I have read that if geraniums are cut down after the first flowering they will grow back and flower again, so I'm giving it a try...

First radishes harvested

Very peppery!

First spuds of season

I decided to lift a couple of potato plants from the first batch I planted on 17 April, but considering the state of the plants and the fact that they hadn't flowered I was fearing the worst. However, some nice spuds were revealed.
