New fox defence technology

I have known for a long time that one of the entry points into the garden for foxes is this gap between the fences of two neighbouring properties. My first attempt at blocking the gap was with wire netting, but the foxes managed to compress it and walk over the top. I then stuck lots of twigs in the soil around the gap, but the foxes still managed to squeeze through. As neither of the fences are mine, I can't attach anything to them, but last night I thought of this solution, which allows me to adjust the length of the horizontal pieces of cane so that they meet the fences. A central post holds the milk bottles in place.

Hope this idea works.

More netting-crappage activity

This morning I heard a noise in the garden and looking out I saw a fox jumping off the netting over the strawberries. On inspection I found that another 'deposit' had been added to that from the previous night.

It seems that the Fox Defence Technology needs improving in the light of this biological warfare.

Fox Defence Technology tested again

When I opened the curtains this morning I saw two foxes near the strawberry patch. Evidently they had been probing the strawberry defences. I chased them off, but later when I went out to take this photo I disturbed a fox that was sleeping under a nearby bush.

Latest fox attack

There was another attempted fox attack last night, but the FDT (Fox Defence Technology) is working well so far, and has been reset to repel any further onslaughts.
