Spinach Beet update

The spinach beet that I sowed last year have now gone to seed, so I planted some more of the seedlings from the sowing I did on 21 April this year.

This is the current state of the seedlings I planted out on 05 May - not progressing very well but we had a long cold and wet period after putting them out.

Courgette update, and Spinach Beet sown.

One of the courgettes in the cloche has died and the other isn't looking too good. I therefore sowed a couple more seed. Hopefully by the time they've germinated the weather will be warm enough to plant them out without the cloche.

Spinach Beet sown

The Spinach Beet I sowed on 21 March came up too quickly so I've been waiting to sow another batch. I wanted to use this trough, which had the Begonia plugs in.
