Lupin, Tagetes, Agastache, Spinach, Coleus and Sweet William sown

Sowed these yesterday. I ran out of elastic bands at the time of this photo but I've now put clingfilm on all of them.

Lupins

The lupins have gone to seed. The problem with them is that they have become large and are overshadowing the rudbeckia and marigolds (the fact that the wisteria throws shade over the flower bed doesn't help). I have cut back the lupins, and I'm thinking of digging them out in the autumn.

The lawn is very dry as we haven't had significant rain for weeks.

I thought this lupin had died last year, but although very small, it's still alive.

Collected some lupin seeds as a 'backup'. After collecting, I put them in a paper envelope.

I didn't expect the Lupins which I grew from seed to flower this year, but a couple are now developing blooms.
