Chrysanthemum cuttings taken

Two of the 6 Chrysanthemum plants I bought last year seem to have died. One container had become overrun with weeds and it seems snails had eaten two of the surviving plants. I cleared the container of weeds and snails and hopefully the remaining 'mums will recover.

The two survivors in the other container are much healthier so I took 8 cuttings from each.

Front garden update

Coleus update

The coleus I sowed on 20 March are looking a bit dodgy...

I think I may have put them out in the day too early. Have moved them into the shade.

Sowed some more...

Begun chitting of a second batch of supermarket Charlottes.

Spuds planted

Planted out 14 supermarket Charlottes in the greenhouse bed. I intended to plant 3 rows of 5 but obviously I was one short (although yesterday I planted 3 sprouting spuds that I found when digging over the Wisteria bed in a row in this bed ).

Tomatoes potted up

6 each of Ferline, Legend and Gardener's Delight. I had 100% germination rate using the clingfilm method.

Green manure update

Only the grass-type of plant seems to have grown, and a bit patchy at that.
