Spud update
I have just used the last of the second batch of potatoes from 2017. I lifted the first batch on10 July 2017. I didn't record when I lifted the second batch (last year's building work proved a bit disruptive to a lot of garden activities and associated documenting of them), but it means I was self-sufficient in spuds for about 6 months. Not bad. The second batch was a bit disappointing, probably because I used shrivelled up Arran Pilots. I won't do that this year, I'll probably use supermarket spuds for batch 2.
