Tomatoes ripening

One of the gardeners' delights did ripen a few days ago but it had split.

Euphorbia replaced

I evidently cut one of the euphorbia too hard back as it's showed no sign of growth while the others have put on some new leaves. I therefore dug it out and replaced it with the one rather iffy-looking cutting that survived from last year.

...at least I'm consistent at getting my finger into the photo.

spuds lifted

The potatoes I planted near the lilac didn't produce many spuds, but I got a reasonable crop from some of the other plants. I've only dug up a few so far.

Armeria Update

The armeria flowered well this spring - I divided them last summer. In the hope of generating more flowers, I cut the flowers off the armeria in containers, then fed them with tomato feed.

These are the armeria in the borders - I didn't remove the flowers from these.

Peony update

Only 5 buds this year - last year there were 7.

Tomato update

Haven't been able to harden off the tomatoes yet as it's been cold for the last week. Last night was the coldest May night since 1982. Forecast says the weather will warm up over the next few days.
