The fox war, which was previously limited to them digging holes around the garden and using the garden as a toilet (unfortunately the two activities do not occur in the same locations), seems to have escalated to target the gnome population. I'm assuming it was a fox that knocked this concrete gnome about a foot from where he was originally positioned.Despite sustaining facial injuries, the victim remains stoic about the threat to garden peace, and has appealed for restraint among the gnome community.
