Yesterday evening I earthed up the Pentlands. I read that it's easier to earth up at dusk because the potato leaves close up at night. I put some of my home made compost around the plants, then covered that with the soil which I had excavated to make the trench, then using a hoe I pulled the soil up around the plants. Tried to make a groove along the top edge of the earthed up area to catch the water.

Pentlands earthed up
